| Turns out I had a good Halloween :) I got to hang out with a pirate and shoot bad guys in the face. You can't beat that with a Louisville Slugger.

| I'm more than disappointed in Halloween this year. It doesn't look like I'll be celebrating at all this year and if I do it will be by myself, and what is the fun in that? (all together now: *big sigh*) My favorite holiday is currently in ruins. It makes me very sad... very sad indeed.

| "After every time of exaltation we are brought down with a sudden rush into things as they are where it is neither beautiful nor poetic nor thrilling. The height of the mountain top is measured by the drab drudgery of the valley; but it is in the vally that we have to live for the glory of God. We see His glory on the mount, but we never live for His glory there. It is in the sphere of humiliation that we find our true worth to God, that is where our faithfulness is revealed. Most of us can do things if we are always at the heroic pitch because of the natural selfishness of out hearts, but God wants us at the drab commonplace pitch, where we live in the valley according to our personal relationship to Him." -Oswald Chambers (October 2) I definately needed to be reminded of this because I'm failing at it miserably. I'm finding myself slightly bitter and apathetic in the valley. I have seen God's glory and know His truth but don't live it out the way I ought. I'm impatient and having a terrible time waiting to be used by God. I'm sitting here waiting for God's divine intervention in my life which will reveal His perfect plan for me for my future, when the reality is, He wants to use me now in the valley, but i'm too focused on my "happy ending" to notice. Life isn't a fairy tale and I'm no princess. Wake up sleeping beauty, there's work to be done! | | |
| Sometimes my trouble gets so thick, I can't see how Im gonna get through it, But then I'd rather be stuck up in a tree, Then be tied to it.
